It’s been awhile since we have had this Barrio La Boca Malbec. This is our first taste of the 2007. Tom bought this at his recent outing to Trader Joe’s in Ann Arbor. It is Friday night and we are relaxing and will have our usual late-night dinner.
This wine has a delicate, but slightly astringent nose. On the palate is fruit and nutmeg with healthy tannins. The finish has plums, vanilla, and chocolate. What a value! I don’t know the exact price but I know it was well under $10.
For dinner tonight I am marinating steak, which I have cut into chunks. I am steaming brown rice. Soon I will stir-fry the steak and add broccoli, fresh tomatoes, and green onions from my garden. I’ll mix it all together and voila!
