Louis M. Martini Cabernet Sauvignon 2008

No meat on Fridays during Lent, so Melody made excellent cream of asparagus soup from farmer’s market asparagus.

With it we had this Louis M. Martini Cabernet Sauvignon 2008. Very nice. Another medium-bodied, tannic, red-fruit wine. Very drinkable, even gulpable, table wine. It went great with the soup and it held up to the gravelly eight-grain bread that served as ballast with the soup.

(Thinking about the boys tonight. Tommy finished his first week at a new job and Tony is in the Blue Mountains in Australia.)
