Red Rose Lane Sonoma County Signature Reserve (2005)

Red Rose Lane Sonoma County Signature Reserve 2005This Red Rose Lane Sonoma County Signature Reserve 2005 is simply wonderful. I am so pleased. One deep whiff of this wine and I knew it was going to be exceptional. On the nose is boysenberry and oak — a lovely, aromatic, and enticing beginning as I explore this wine. In the glass it is deep garnet. On the palate is cherries, vanilla, and wood. This is just delicious. There is nothing I would change about this wine. It has the right balance of dry/fruit/tannins. This is a blend of Merlot, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon – wow!

I am going to serve this wine with a typical Sunday night dinner at the Werner household: a just-out-of-the-oven loaf of whole-wheat bread and a soup from the leftover turkey. . . I simmered the turkey carcass yesterday with garlic and onions. I put it all together today with potatoes and vegetables. It will be a savory and delicious soup.

Tom: This Red Rose Lane Sonoma County Signature Reserve 2005 is luscious. The three-quarters merlot, one-fifth syrah, and a touch of cab make for a great fruit-forward and tannic combination. This will be good with our soup and would be good with anything where we want the red wine to be big and jammy.

Melody, Mom, and TomToday is my mother’s birthday. She’s raised five kids, has eight grandchildren, has lived in at least ten homes, and probably swam laps today. Here’s a picture of her with Tom and Melody from a recent family get-together.

My parents are members of the 4 seasons wine club and raved about the Signature Reserve. My boyfriend and I are in wine country for the weekend and have been looking for a few more bottles, but can’t seem to find it anywhere. Any idea where I can find them?

Hello Beth, It’s nice to know your parents enjoy this wine! They have good taste, obviously. . .I don’t know where you can get this wine in wine country, but I know you can order it from the 4 Seasons Wine Club if you would like. Please let me know if you would like more information, okay? I would be happy to help.

This wine sounds interesting. Could you tell me how much it costs per bottle?

  4. Tom & Melody Says:

    Hi Kris,

I think it was about $15. It was part of one of our wine club shipments. I hope you will try it and let us know what you think!

  6. Tom & Melody Says:

Hello Brandi — We are in Michigan so I don’t know where you can get it in Texas. I would suggest seeing if you can order it online. I believe we bought our’s from a wine club. Try a search of “Red Rose Lane” + wine club and see if you can find it, okay? I hope you are successful!

  11. Roger Sprague Says:

I have searched every possible source to find out more about the Red Rose Lane Signature Reserve and come up with a dead end every time. How can one find a source for the purchase of this great tasting wine.? Lionstone .com, shown on the bottle, does no good. Chateau Andrea also is a dead end. The winery must have a web site somewhere.

  12. Tom & Melody Says:

Roger — hmmmm, let me do a little research and I’ll get back to you. . .
